Holiday Break
The Growing Musician will be on holiday break from Monday, December 23, 2025 through Sunday, January 4, 2026 for Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Lessons will pause during this time so that students and families can enjoy the season with loved ones, and will resume on Monday, January 5, 2026.
We wish you all a joyful holiday season filled with music, rest, and celebration!
Singer Showcase
Celebrate the talent and creativity of our voice students at The Growing Musician’s Singer Showcase! Students will perform a lively mix of musical theater favorites, popular songs, and collaborative musical theater scenes. This event is a wonderful opportunity for singers to share their growth and artistry in a supportive, community-focused setting. Come enjoy an afternoon of music, storytelling, and inspiration!
2nd Annual Groundhog Day Piano Concert
Join us for our whimsical Groundhog Day Piano Concert, where students will celebrate the season with music full of rhythm and fun! This year’s theme features lively ragtime pieces, showcasing our pianists’ hard work and joy in making music. A playful tradition at The Growing Musician, the Groundhog Day Concert is a chance for students to shine while bringing cheer to our community.
February Vacation Week
The Growing Musician will be on break from Monday, February 16 through Sunday, February 22, 2026 for February Vacation. Lessons will pause for the week so students and families can enjoy some rest, adventures, and winter fun. We’ll be excited to welcome everyone back when lessons resume on Monday, February 23, 2026!
Zoom Coffeehouse
Grab a cup of something warm and join us online for our March Zoom Coffeehouse! This cozy virtual gathering is a chance for students to share music they’ve been working on in a relaxed, supportive setting. From songs to piano pieces, each performance adds to the spirit of community and creativity. Family and friends are welcome to log in, listen, and cheer on our wonderful musicians!
Student Juries
On this day, piano, voice, and singer-songwriter students will have the chance to share the music they’ve been working on with a small panel of teachers. Juries are a supportive and encouraging experience that celebrate each student’s progress, while offering helpful feedback and inspiration for what’s next. It’s a wonderful way to honor growth and set new goals for the journey ahead!
April Vacation Week
The Growing Musician will be on break from Monday, April 20 through Sunday, April 26, 2026 for April Vacation. Lessons will pause for the week so students can enjoy springtime rest and activities with family and friends. We look forward to making music together again when lessons resume on Monday, April 27, 2026!
Spring Cabaret
Join us for The Growing Musician’s Spring Cabaret, the final performance of the school year! Voice, piano, and singer-songwriter students will share the music they’ve been working on, from heartfelt songs to lively piano pieces and original creations. This joyful celebration highlights the growth, creativity, and hard work of our students, and brings our community together to celebrate a wonderful year of music.

Join us for an evening of festive music as our voice and piano students share holiday favorites old and new! This joyful concert will showcase the hard work and talents of our musicians in a cozy, welcoming setting. Come celebrate the season with us through music, community, and a little holiday sparkle.
Thanksgiving Break
The studio will be closed this week in celebration of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Halloween Zoom Coffeehouse
Join the students of The Growing Musician for an afternoon of vocal and piano song favorites. This performance is held on Zoom in the comfort of each students home. Students will be performing songs that mix of their old favorites and works in progress. This is a Halloween themed performance so be prepared to see a ghost or two!

The Growing Musician Student Juries
Students of The Growing Musician will prepare a 10 minute audition style performance in both voice and piano. Each student will present their auditions for constructive and nurturing feedback for a panel of some of Boston’s finest musicians and music educators.

2023-2024 Academic year begins

Jillson Jam Week!
Join us for the first ever Jillson Jam Week at the Growing Musician!
Students will work to create their own 10-minute, prerecorded recital of pieces that they love to sing and play. Named after the founder- Katie Jillson. Katie will work with each student leading up to the week to design a theme that is true to each musician’s artistic heart. We will gather at the end of the week on Sunday 8/13 for a live viewing and potluck at 31 Woodbine Street, Auburndale MA.
The Event will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Admission is free.
