The Growing Musician recognizes that an essential ingredient to growth is community. Therefore we offer Group Voice Lessons for both young singers and adults.

Group singing classes are great for the singer who is curious about studying voice but may not be ready for the one-on-one voice lesson.

You learn best in a group setting because hearing others, sharing ideas, having group discussion and a supportive audience of singers like you is best in growing that love for singing that you have.

Group Voice Classes for Young Singers

Voice classes are ideal for the young singer who learns well in groups and may not quite be ready for the one-on-one attention and focus in the private lessons setting.

In our 12-week voice class, we will focus on the different aspects of singing and musicianship that is taught in one-on-one voice lessons, but in a group setting.

  • Mind/body awareness

  • Breath and Posture

  • Musicianship training -rhythm, solfege, music theory, understanding how to navigate a vocal score.

  • Vocalization practice-Vocal warmups and warm up songs addressing articulation, registration, breath awareness and expression

  • Repertoire Building

Each class is 55 minutes, and each session runs for 12 weeks.

Over the course of the weeks of each session, we will learn several songs depending on number of students in each class. At the end of the session, each student will pick their favorite of the songs learned in the session and perform in a student showcase!

Online Adult Voice Classes

Adult singing classes are great for the singer who has little to no voice lesson experience and learns best in a community setting. Great for the singer who may not feel ready for a one-on-one session but wants to begin exploring soloistic singing and learn both the technique and history of the different styles of singing.

In a 16-week session, we will begin focus on 4 different styles of vocal music- classical, musical theatre, jazz and pop.

Over the course of the 16 weeks, each class will include-

  • Vocal warmups

  • Vocal technique work that will help each singer sing in the various focused styles over the 16 weeks.

  • Repertoire assignments assigned based on each singer’s vocal range

  • Listening to singers from all 4 styles and understanding the history behind this style of vocal music.

  • An in-person student showcase and the end of the 16 weeks.
