Grow your voice
Private Voice Lessons
One on one, private singing lessons are great for the singer who is ready to dive in and learn all the aspects of singing.
You are a singer who loves to sing, performs often or who has strong dreams and desires to do so.
You are a singer who has been singing in community choirs, local musical theatre, school choirs, or just that good old singing desire and has wanted to learn for some time.
You are looking to grow in your singing and realize you need support.
At the Growing Musician, one on one lessons are tailored to your need to help you expand your vocal abilities, reach your singing goals, and fuel the organic joy you have when you sing.
One on one voice lessons
One on one lessons are great for singers who are both new to voice lessons or returning to lessons after a pause.
In our lessons together, we will work from 2 different angles: technique and style.
Understanding how your instrument functions through learning the role of breath, phonation, registration, articulation, and vocal acoustics. You will better understand the connection between your body and your voice.
Alongside the technique, we will work on finding your true artistic style. What style or styles of music do you enjoy singing the most? You may know already, which is great! For those that need more guidance, or who have been singing in one style but curious about another, we will work together to explore the different styles and find what resonates with you and causes you to sing nonstop!
Lessons are taught in 45 and 60 minute lengths.
One on one lessons for the young singer
The voice is the first instrument for every human being. We make sounds with our voice starting from infancy.
Singing for young singers is highly beneficial in beginning to train a young child’s musical expression.
With young singers, I work from an explorative place. We explore range, phonation, articulation, and breath. The student will begin to make the connection between body and voice. We explore repertoire styles- musical theatre, pop, jazz, classical and more. Together, we find what styles they enjoy singing the most. Through understanding their music listening habits in life and what’s on their playlist, we can find what resonates with them in the current season. Alongside this, I teach the foundations of musicianship-rhythm, note reading and solfege.
Young singers at the Growing Musician will build a strong foundation in singing and in musicianship.
All lessons are taught in 45-minute lengths.
